Crafted for pediatric use, this compact wheelchair system addresses common challenges by functioning as a cohesive unit. Wonderseat Space is specifically tailored for children who need significant postural support while seated. These individuals often rely on a tilt-in-space wheelchair to manage the effects of gravity on their posture. This solution is supported by clinical evidence and provides customisable support for clients with minimal sitting control, with the ability to easily move supports for transfers.
The quick-release mechanism of the arm supports allows for effortless detachment, making transfers easier for parents and caregivers. By minimizing the need for adjustments, the front-access clips on the anterior trunk support harness provide convenient accessibility for small arms. Other quick-release and swing-away mechanisms are available with the Wonderseat Space, allowing for increased freedom in hardware positioning for the child.
The back support for the SPEX WONDERSEAT SPACE is equipped with mounting points for the anterior trunk harness, streamlining the adjustment and removal process by eliminating the need for extra hardware. Precise placement and easy growth of the hip belt is facilitated by numbered slots on the specially designed plate. The belt can also be conveniently removed for washing thanks to these slots. Families and caregivers can easily clean the product with the standard shower cap cover, while an inner incontinence cover on the cushion maintains dryness.
